A new seating concept
The flexible and lightweight seats in the Multivan can easily be moved and folded to create a seating style that suits you.
With space for up to seven seats, the rear five seats, which are up to 25 per cent lighter, can be moved and removed in just a few simple steps. And with the optional 7 seater vice-versa package, the second row can be moved 180-degrees to create a conference style seating configuration. The full-width bench seat for the third row has been replaced by individual seats to allow single seats to be removed for complete flexibility.
Versatile multifunction table
The optional multifunction table can be moved between any of the seating rows, and for the first time can be used as a centre console between the front seats. It’s height adjustable and features three cup holders and a deep storage compartment, making it perfect for working on-the-go or keeping the kids occupied during longer journeys.
Innovation right before your eyes
The free-floating dash panel with the digital display landscape has a clear and high-class look. It elegantly frames the Digital Cockpit and 10” touchscreen infotainment system, from which you can control and create the ideal temperature with the 3-zone Air Care Climatronic system. Now even more in touch and in sync, the new Multivan also features Wireless App-Connect as standard.

Keeping life in motion
The new Multivan’s TDI engine is characterised by low consumption and impressive power. You’ll also enjoy a smooth and comfortable drive thanks to the dual-clutch gearbox DSG and shift-by-wire, meaning gear shifts are now done via a switch conveniently integrated into the dash panel – no more gear or handbrake levers.

Whether you’re cruising through the countryside or navigating tight city streets, up to 21 state-of-the-art driver assistance systems2 will help make every journey a safer and more relaxing one.
Take Park Assist, which uses sensors all around the vehicle to help you 90-degree park, back into a space and get in and out of a parallel park. Rear Traffic Alert then warns you if another vehicle crosses your driving path when reversing out of the parking space and can mitigate or even completely prevent a collision by means of a braking intervention.

Compact dimensions
Motion becomes dynamism
It has never been so easy to step into the world of Volkswagen. The new Multivan is not only more compact than its predecessor; it also behaves like a family car in terms of handling and driving comfort. As well as the short wheelbase model (4.98 m), a long wheelbase version (5.18 m) is also available. Both versions have a vehicle height of only around 1.90 m – with the same interior height. And with the new optional panoramic sunroof, the new Multivan is even around 2 cm higher on the inside. This means that the new Multivan also plays to its strengths in the city – and can be easily manoeuvred through the urban hustle and bustle.
Keyless Advanced and Easy Open
Hand becomes foot
Each new Multivan is equipped with two electric sliding doors as standard. Getting in and out of the vehicle is also easier than ever before. In combination with the optional “Keyless Advanced” keyless locking and starting system, the doors unlock automatically as soon as you are nearby. And the optional Easy Open function even allows you to open and close the sliding doors and the rear tailgate using gesture control. You can leave your hands in your pockets. A short kick with your foot under the sensor is enough to open or close the doors.
A variety of storage space
Space-saving miracle becomes organisational talent
Another convenience highlight in the interior: the numerous stowage areas. Whether in the cab, at the doors, under the seats or on the folded multifunction table: the new Multivan offers enough space to stow items such as tablets, toys, blankets, drinks bottles and coffee cups safely and tidily.
